Katherine has been practicing as an RMT since January 2013 and as a Lab Technician since 2002. Originally from Newmarket, Katherine recently decided to make the transition into a more northern lifestyle in Orillia. Katherine completed her two-year RMT program through Sutherland-Chan Toronto with clinical training in Breast Massage, Cancer, Multiple Sclerosis, and Sports Massage. As someone who strives to continuously develop her skills, Katherine has taken courses in Cancer and Client Care, Reflexology and is a Kinesiotaping Canada Practitioner. She would like to expand her skills further by taking courses in Matrix Repatterning, Vodder Lymphatic Drainage, as well as Acupuncture in the future.
Katherine says this about her treatment approach:
“My style of massage is always evolving! I have been getting a lot of positive feedback with my myofascial and deep tissue approach. I tend to give my clients self stretches and exercise “homework” so that they can discover what their body is capable of and to establish good stretching and biomechanic habits when they are at work or at home.”
In her spare time Katherine enjoys: family get-togethers, playing board games with her friends, oil painting, photography, woodcarving, target archery and self-defense. She would also like to obtain a bush pilot’s license one day.
